What exactly is Artistic pool? It began as a trick shot competition. Now known as Artistic pool, it is gaining popularity and may be heading for the Olympics soon.
When playing Artistic pool, you have 8 disciplines that should be followed, these 8 disciplines comprise whether 4 or 5 shots. The first discipline is trick and or fancy, which means the shot will be a setup, or even have any balls, where the cue will basically make a “kick” pattern and head to the final balls. Or this may be a more greatest shot, or those shots that need special skills that are not mentioned in any other discipline.
Kick Ball
The second discipline to artistic pool is the prop or novelty shot and the special arts. What this all means is that you will want to show off a new shot you have advanced or a unique shot that’s not seen very much in competition. You can also use props with these shots, like a cue, bridge, maybe the rack or even a coin. Plus you will want to do some special art shots, which may comprise wing shots, times shots, push shots, or even roller coaster techniques. You can also comprise such things as the behind back shot, under leg shot, and the one-handed jack up shot. This class has also been named as the amusement category.
The third discipline of artistic pool is the draw, which is where the cue is at least ½” from the object ball and the shot is an advanced type of shot. Next is the fourth discipline which is the follow, same thing with the cue ball being at least 1/2″ from the object ball. an additional one discipline is the fifth discipline which is the bank kick. This means that you will need to hit the object ball into the cushion, and the kick to the shot is where the cue will come in sense with”x” estimate of cushions and then finally the object ball.
The sixth discipline of artistic pool is the stroke, the cue ball is not over ½” from the object ball this includes a draw shot, a ensue shot, and also position shots, or even a speed controlled shot.
The seventh discipline that needs to be followed in artistic pool is the jump shot, you can perform this in anyway by using a prop or not. finally the last and eighth discipline is the masse, cue must be elevated over 10 degrees and it can be whether a full or half masse.
