Throw on the board shorts, bust out the grills and lather on the sunscreen because it’s getting to be our popular season of the year – that’s right, it’s summer! Summer is a time to be lazy in the sun, meet new population and party like its 1999 all over again. Below are some summer activities and tips to start your summer off right:
Pool Parties
Adult Kickball
If you ask any college trainee or self respecting young adult, pool parties are the staples of any summer. It’s a time where you can fly the realities of daily life and soak up some rays while you’re at it. When the weather is right, succeed these tips:
Make a day playlist: You need some island inspired tunes when you’re out on the roof of your apartment involved at 9am trying to convince your best friend that you guys should pack up everything and live in Nicaragua for the next 6 months. You’re going to want make a mix of some Bob Marley, Rebelution, The Expendables, Jimmy Buffett or anyone with steel drums in it… anyone mellow!
Pack Light: Especially if you’re going to a pool party. Normally I just leave my phone in the car and just bring a reputation card and my Id. Nothing sucks more than getting thrown into a pool with your new iPhone in your board shorts.
Stay hydrated: I know this is a pretty lame tip, but you have no idea how much the sun take it out of you… Fisting your bottle of water is appropriate during the day!
Don’t forget the sunscreen: When you’re as white as us, you’ll need it.
Theme Parks
Roller coasters, shows, and themed food. Where do we sign up? There are a concentrate negatives with theme parks, huge crowds, long walking, and heavy on the wallet, but if you can see straight through that then it can make for a great day trip. Most theme parks sell potential food to choose from, take benefit of it. Theme parks seem to be much more fun if you go with a large group of population or family.
Join a local dodgeball, flag football, or kickball league
You can join any local dodgeball, kickball, or flag football league for around . This will turn out to be an exquisite summer investment. These are adult leagues and are insanely fun to play in. After every game there is always an afterparty at the local spot who sponsors the league. This is a guaranteed crazy night, from eating contents to the women and men in the league looking to mingle and meet new people. You can just Google Waar or waka, those are two organizations that we know of that will make these leagues in your city. Don’t worry about being too old or too young either, the age bracket ranges from early 20′s to late 30′s. What are you waiting for?!
Concerts
Google your popular band, find out when they’re playing near you and buy the tickets! Concerts always turn out to be all day events. Get every person together and pack in the Suv and get to the lots early to tailgate until the concert starts; don’t forget your transported table for cooking! If your venue has grass seats, this is Normally where the party crowd will be settled and your bound to see anything.
Block Parties
There are fullness of cities all across the states that pay for and supply city block parties. They will whether host it in a city park or have the local police cut off a city block. Once everything is roped off they will roll out the food vendors. Not too long after that you’ll be sure to hear a concentrate live bands. These block parties Normally start in the afternoon and go way into the late night. Even if the city shuts down the block party venue, population will hang around late.
Play bags (cornhole)
Bags (also known as cornhole in the Midwest) is a great way to kill time. It’s more-or-less like playing horse shoes, but the object is to throw bean bags inside a hole in a wooden platform instead. To learn how to create your own bags setup
Go Tubing (floating)
What’s better than floating down a lazy river with a tube?… The rejoinder is nothing. This is surely one of my popular day activities. Depending on where you live, this is the most relaxing way to spend a summer day with a group of buddies. Below is what you would need:
Shallow, slow entertaining river / large creek
Flip Flops (don’t rip your feet up on those rocks)
Inflatable Tube (the inflatable tire tubes work best usually)
Cooler (and bring an additional one tube to place it in)
Twine / Rope
Lots of sunscreen
Created a twine net in the bottom of your cooler tube, place the cooler in it and tie that tube to your tube. Have someone drop you off a few miles up the river and spend the afternoon slowlyfloating down the river.
Find a Beach Sandbar
Beach Sandbars can be legendary. If you’re lucky enough to live near a beach, then an absolute must is to hunt out and find a sandbar. A sandbar is piece of ocean floor that is higher then the rest of the ocean bottom around it, sort of creating a mini island effect. Once you’ve settled a sandbar, ride out on your boat and a good sound law and get wild. We have some wild stories from the sandbar and you can too, just don’t miss the boat home.
Go Camping
Like tubing, camping is an additional one thing way to concentrate my two popular past times;fishing and the outdoors. Also the inescapable essentials (i.e. Tents / bug spray), here are some of the additional items you’ll need:
Twine / Rope
A grill (if not provided at the campground)
Playing cards
Radio
